The data we collect

Account: your e-mail address (to sign in with a code) and, on your first purchase, your name, billing address, country and optionally your phone number.

License: an anonymous device identifier (an irreversible fingerprint of your computer, never its name or your files), the system and WDM version, the IP address during checks, and activation dates. This data is only used to enforce the 2-device limit and the trial period.

Payment: we neither see nor keep your card details or Mobile Money code: they are handled by our payment providers. We keep the amount, date, method used and transaction reference.

Contact: the messages you send through the form (name, chosen reply channel, e-mail or number, message).

What we do not collect

We do not know what you download: downloads happen between your computer and the sites concerned. We show no advertising and sell no data.

What the data is used for

Signing you in, managing your license and devices, processing payments and issuing invoices, answering your messages, preventing fraud and improving the service.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses a single session cookie (to keep you signed in to your account) and your browser's local storage to remember your language and theme. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.

Browser extension

The WDM Browser Monitor extension (Chrome, Firefox) sends nothing to our servers or to any third party. It only talks to the WDM application installed on your computer (local address 127.0.0.1 and the browser's native messaging). To show the download button and hand a file over to WDM, it reads the address of pages and media, the request headers and the cookies of the address concerned, then passes them to the local application. It only keeps its own settings (on or off, site by site). You can turn it off globally or for one site from its menu, or uninstall it at any time.

Retention

Account data is kept as long as the account exists. Invoices are kept for the legal period. Contact messages are deleted at the latest 24 months after the last exchange.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or its deletion by writing to us through the Contact page. We answer within one month.
